Former Bruin Folin recalled by Minnesota Wild

SAINT PAUL, Minn. — Minnesota Wild General Manager Chuck Fletcher today announced the National Hockey League club has recalled defenseman Christian Folin from the Iowa Wild of the American Hockey League.
Folin, 23, skated in eight games with Minnesota this season and averaged 14:10 in TOI/game before being reassigned to Iowa on Nov. 14. He collected four points (2-2=4), 24 shots and a plus-1 rating in eight games with Iowa this season. The 6-foot-3, 214-pound native of Gothenburg, Sweden, owns one assist and seven penalty minutes (PIM) in nine NHL contests with the Wild. Folin was signed as a free agent on March 31, 2014 and wears sweater No. 5 with Minnesota.
Minnesota hosts the Montreal Canadiens on Wednesday, Dec. 3, at 6 p.m. on FOX Sports North and KFAN 100.3 FM.
