Dearionte Hudson has made some big plays for the Riverland Community College men’s basketball team this season and he made his biggest play yet in a 75-73 win over Fon Du Lac in Riverland Gym Friday night.

Hudson, a freshman from Germantown, Wis., hit a five-foot driving runner to win the game with one second left on the clock. He finished with 23 points.

The Blue Devils (6-0 overall) had trailed by 14 in the second half before rallying back in it.

“We didn’t play very well right away,” RCC head coach Scott Koenigs said. “Give Fon Du Lac credit. They came out to play. ”
