Ronald Jarvis

Ronald Jarvis died peacefully after a brief battle with cancer.
Ron was born to parents Harold and Sheila on June 27, 1943, in Austin, Minnesota, where he grew up his entire life. He proudly served in the US Navy from 1961 to 1965. His remaining work was spent as a brakeman and conductor for many railroads, including Soo Line, DM&E, CP Rail, ICE and Milwaukee Road. His greatest pride in life came from the family he raised with his wife of 42 years, Lynnette. Ron was humble, kind, and always willing to help anyone. He was a true family man.
He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing trips to Canada, snowmobiling, hunting and playing golf and tennis.
Ron is survived by his wife Lynnette Jarvis; son Paul Jarvis and his wife Amy and their daughter Amber; daughter Kari Prantner and her husband Corey and their two daughters, Kaylee and Madalynn; daughters Jill and Jennifer Jarvis and grandsons Joseph and Justin Jarvis; sister Dee McDaniels and her husband Jodie; sisters and brothers in-law: Diane Enstad, Wayne Lunde, and Jerry and Caroline Loader; and many nieces and nephews.
Ron was preceded in death by his parents Harold and Sheila Jarvis; and Uncle Richard Jarvis; and brother-in-law Roger Enstad.
Funeral services will be held at White Funeral Home in Lakeville, Minnesota, on Sunday, Dec. 21 at 2 p.m. Friends and family may gather at 1 p.m. Online condolences at: www.whitefuneralhomes.com.
