The Austin girls hockey team picked up a big 3-1 over No. 20 ranked Northfield (10-13 overall, 7-5 Big Nine) on the road Saturday.
It was the first time Austin had beaten Northfield since the 2007-2008 season.
“The girls skated exceptionally hard for a complete game against a very good Northfield team,” Austin head coach Brett Vesel said. “We did an outstanding job of forechecking and playing great defensive zone limiting the number of high percentage shots.”
Allison Hoban had 18 saves for Austin, which had 35 shots on goal.
Myia Hoium had two goals for the Packers and Chloe Summerfield scored one goal.
The Packers (11-11-2 overall, 8-9-2 Big Nine) have just one game remaining in the regular season and they will host Rochester John Marshall Thursday at 7:30 p.m.
