Letter: Grace Baptist moving to former First Baptist site

Grace Baptist Church has some very exciting and important news to share with the city of Austin. As many of you know, last year Grace Baptist Church assimilated First Baptist Church. In other words, First Baptist became a part of Grace Baptist. We are now one church, but we have two church buildings: the current Grace Baptist Church building on 100 4th Ave SE and the former First Baptist Church building, or West Campus as we have been calling it, on 1700 W. Oakland Ave. We have had to make a tough decision on which building to use for our church and which building to sell.
We have decided that Grace Baptist Church will be moving to 1700 W. Oakland Ave on March 15. We think this is the best decision for the future of our ministry to and in Austin. Practically speaking, this means that our Sunday services will move immediately to this location from March 15 on into the future, but our Wednesday evening ministries will remain at 100 4th Ave SE until Awana concludes for the year in late spring. Our offices will be moving to 1700 W. Oakland in the next few weeks.
We invite all of Austin to come and visit us at our new home at 1700 W. Oakland Ave on Easter, April 5, as we celebrate what our Lord and Savior accomplished for us. Plan to experience a great worship environment, friendly attitudes, and Biblical preaching. In short, Grace, much like the city of Austin, is moving forward.
