The Hayfield boys basketball team beat Zumbrota-Mazeppa (1-19 overall, 0-13 HVL) 81-71 on the road Thursday.

Cam Rutledge scored 23 of his 25 points in the first half for the Vikings (8-13 overall, 6-9 HVL). Hayfield led 81-63 late in the game before the Cougars pulled a little closer.
