Packer girls fall to Red Wing

The Austin girls basketball team lost 60-51 at Red Wing (10-10 overall, 9-7 Big Nine) Friday.

The Packers (8-12 overall, 6-10 Big Nine) trailed by as many as 20 in the second half and they weren’t able to get back in the game.

“In the first half we struggled defensively and they were hot from 3-point range,” Austin head coach Todd Johnson said. “We kind of had a late rally, but we just dug ourself in too big of a hole.”
