Patrick F. Huinker, 61, of Warsaw, Minnesota, died on Friday, Jan. 30, 2015, at Golden Living Center, Hopkins.
Patrick Francis, the son of Arthur and Maxine (Paquette) Huinker, was born July 20, 1953, in Austin. He graduated from Austin High School in 1972 and the Faribault Technical College in 1977. He married his high school sweetheart, Marla Norland, and they later divorced. Patrick served in the U.S. Army and retired from the MN Army National Guard. He was formerly employed with Crown Cork and Seal, Faribault for many years. He had a passion for hunting and fishing and enjoyed Minnesota sports.
He is survived by his son, Michael (and Catherine) Huinker of Morristown; two grandchildren: Samantha and Lukas; his mother, Maxine Huinker of Austin; two brothers: Wayne (and Elvie) Huinker of Austin, and Brian (and Jean) Huinker of Davenport, Iowa; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Arthur Huinker.
Memorial services will be held at 10 a.m. at the Boldt Funeral Home, Faribault, on Tuesday, Feb. 3, 2015. Interment will be at Ft. Snelling National Cemetery, Minneapolis. Memorial visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Boldt Funeral Home on Monday, Feb. 2, and also for one hour prior to the service on Tuesday.
