MINNEAPOLIS — Toyota Motor Corp. is asking a federal court to reduce the award it was ordered to pay plaintiffs who successfully sued in a fatal crash in St. Paul.
A jury determined Toyota was 60 percent to blame for the 2006 crash and that the victims should be paid about $11 million. In a motion filed in U.S. District Court, Toyota argued that the driver of the Toyota Camry, Koua Fong Lee, should be required to pay $4 million.
