Vandals did an estimated $6,000 damage on four cars in a LeRoy man’s shed earlier this month by scratching words and drawings on the cars’ windows and paint.
According to Sheriff Terese Amazi, a LeRoy man reported damage to four vehicles on Saturday. The vehicles — a 1969 Chevy Malibu, a 1977 Trans Am, a 2007 Mustang and a 2006 Dodge Charger — were locked in a storage shed. The owner noticed footprints in the snow on Feb. 4, but did not find the damage until Feb. 21. The shed was locked and there were no signs of forced entry. Officers are still investigating and looking for information.
The damage included scratches in the paint of all four vehicles, including the letters “FA,” the phrase “GM Rules” and a slur. There were also scratch-drawings of male genitalia on three of the vehicles, and deep cuts in the paint and the front windows.
