Albert Lea theater announces auditions for The Foreigner

Albert Lea Community Theatre (ACT) announced auditions will be held at 7 p.m., Monday and Tuesday for “The Foreigner” at the Marion Ross Performing Arts Center.
Directed by Gordy Handeland, eight performances of this classic comedy are scheduled for May 7-16. There are seven roles in the show for men and women.
Those auditioning should be prepared to read from the script. Rehearsals will be scheduled weeknights, with some weekend involvement closer to the performance dates.
“The Foreigner” demonstrates what can happen when a group of devious characters must deal with a stranger who (they think) knows no English. Set in a fishing lodge in rural Georgia, this comedy in nonstop, inventive hilarity that is one comic surprise after another.
