Firefighters put out house fire

Lyle firefigthers stage outside a house at the 700 block of Second Street in Lyle Saturday, the scene of a late afternoon blaze. The call came in at 4:20 p.m. A window in the northwest corner of the structure had visible charing to the outside leading up towards the roof. No one was injured in a Lyle house fire that took place around 4:20 p.m. Saturday afternoon.
Lyle Fire Chief Dan Frank said firefighters spent two hours battling flames on the outside of the house, at the 700 block of Second Street.
There’s no total damage estimate yet and Frank said the cause of the fire remains unknown for now.
