School board to look at cutting costs

The Austin Public Schools Board will discuss ways to save costs during its regularly scheduled meeting at 5:30 p.m. Monday in the City Council Chambers.
The board will direct school administration look at and make recommendations on ways to cut costs and make more efficient operations, which they will present back to the board at a future school board meeting.
The board will also decide whether to approve the bids for the Knowlton Auditorium construction project that will take place this summer, and will decide whether to approve the traditional calendar for the 2016-2017 school year.
