It’s April, but the Austin Area Chamber of Commerce is looking ahead to July 3-5.
Chamber ambassadors will bus tables and volunteer at Pizza Ranch from 4:30 to 8 p.m. Wednesday to raise money for the fireworks and entertainment at this year’s Freedom Fest.
That’s just the first fundraiser for the 30th annual Freedom Fest Celebration.
The chamber will also hold a roundup fundraiser at Hy-Vee where cashiers will ask shoppers if they want to round up and donate their change to Freedom Fest.
Like past years, chamber ambassadors will also sell raffle tickets starting next month.
“I’m hoping it’s big,” said Jeanine Nelson, who coordinates member relation/major event.
Prizes for this year’s raffle drawing include a $500 voucher for travel through Birch Travel, $300 in gas cards for Freedom Value Center, a lawnmower from Donkers, and a day of beauty from Golden Tress Salon.
