Comedy night is back in swing at the Historical Paramount Theatre, bringing several new acts to the stage.

Midwest Emmy Award -winning comedian/magician David Harris will headline the Historic Paramount Theatre for the first time at 7:30 p.m. on April 17.

Harris has been performing professionally for over 20 years. Still calling Minneapolis home, Harris entertains full-time as a comedian and a magician across the Midwest and U.S. for corporate events, colleges, clubs and more. Harris has appeared to rave reviews on Minneapolis — St. Paul’s ABC, CBS, and FOX TV. He has also received two Midwest Emmy’s for co-producing and co-starring in the comedy TV show, “Nate On Drums,” which appeared in 2005-2006 on Minneapolis — St. Paul’s KSTC.TV, Channel 45.

Harris has also co-starred in several online videos and TV commercials. He’s been fortunate to work on stage with some of the best in the business, including comedy great Louie Anderson, Bobby Slayton, Mary Lynn Rajskub, WILD Bill Bauer, Dov Davidoff, Josh Blue, and others.

Harris’s personal and person-driven approach to the topics of work, family, relationships and anxiety makes his act relatable to many, while still being creative, clean, fun, original, and most of all — funny.

Featuring for the evening is Logan Nielson. An Iowa native, Logan lives in Chicago where he is a improv comedy veteran, show producer, filmmaker, and cereal lover.

Opening the night will be Jeff Larson. Jeff’s humor is replete with the observational realities and absurdities of growing up in a newly suburban age of so-called innocence.

Hosting the show is Angie Larsen. Relatively new to stand-up, having mainly performed at open mic events at Goonie’s in Rochester during the past year, Angie is already original and funny. The 16-year-old high school student from Rochester will bring her fresh act along with her dad, Jeff.
