Habitat for Humanity Freeborn/Mower Counties is raising money to raise homes.
Habitat is looking for people who want to have fun and raise the roof at the Starry, Starry Night fundraiser on Saturday at the Austin Country Club.
The event starts with a social hour from 5 to 6 p.m. and lasts until about 10 p.m. The event will feature silent and live auctions and food.
Funds raised will go toward the construction of homes in Freeborn and Mower counties. The board of directors and staff are excited about the opportunity to showcase Habitat for Humanity and invite people to support their mission: “Seeking to put God’s love into action, Habitat for Humanity brings people together to build homes, communities and hope.”
The dinner will feature a cucumber wrapped greens salad, petite angus sirloin or Scottish salmon, wild mushroom risotto and early asparagus. There will also be a praline basket and fresh berries or vanilla bean ice cream with grande mariner sauce.
The silent auction will feature an antique drop-leaf Duncan Phyfe table, a 4-by-5-foot oil painting, a restored child’s table and chairs, numerous dinner and entertainment gift certificates, and other repurposed furniture and art pieces and treasures.
Tickets are $65 per person and can be purchased at the ReStore located in the Sterling Shopping Center, 1415 1st Ave SW, Austin, MN 55912. For more information please contact Habitat for Humanity Freeborn/Mower at 507-433-1349.
