Hayfield baseball team wins sixth straight game

The Hayfield baseball team won its sixth straight game when it topped Lake City (4-7 overall) 3-1 on the road Friday.
LC had the bases loaded with one out in the seventh inning and Hayfield pitcher Cam Rutledge was able to finish off the complete game win by getting a strike out and a fly out.
Rutledge allowed just four hits, but the Vikings (7-1 overall) committed five errors.
“Cam picked up his fielders today and he did a good job,” Hayfield head coach Kasey Krekling said.
