SHAKOPEE — A Shakopee teacher is charged with soliciting sex from a boy he met at a theater group.

Thirty-four-year-old Andrew Hasty, of Cumberland, Wisconsin, has resigned from Shakopee Public Schools. He’s charged with three felonies after police say he asked a 15-year-old boy to send him photos of his genitals.

Authorities say the two met at the Chaska Valley Family Theater drama group.

The Star Tribune reports investigators say there’s no evidence other juveniles were solicited. Hasty is being held in the Carver County Jail. It was not immediately clear if Hasty has a defense attorney.
