Officers responded to a burglary report around 5:30 a.m. today at the 300 block of Sixth St. Southwest.
According to Police Chief Brian Krueger, someone entered a home during the night and several things were taken, including a yellow purse, an Xbox One worth $500, a pair of men’s pants and a wallet, and a set of car keys. The purse contained credit cards, a wallet, another set of car keys and more.
There was no sign of forced entry, and there are no suspects at this time. The victims were asleep in their home when their items were taken.
Krueger said this is a reminder that people should lock their residence at all times, as this is the second burglary this week with similar circumstances.
Last Saturday, burglars hit a home on the 500 block of Second Avenue Southwest.
