The Blooming Prairie softball team came up with a solid effort against a quality team, but it lost 5-4 at Mankato Loyola (12-1 overall) on the road Friday.
The Awesome Blossoms (5-8 overall) scored one run in the top of the seventh inning, but they couldn’t tie the game.
“The girls played a great game tonight,” BP head coach Ali Mach said. “We had lots of energy and fought hard. We just couldn’t get the big hit when we needed it. Overall our confidence was high and it was a great team effort.”
