DULUTH — Cirrus Aircraft has the $4 million in state funding it needs to expand in Duluth.
The new $10 million facility is expected to employ another 100 people or more when it’s complete. Another $6 million will come from tax incremental financing. The 60,000-square-foot building will be built near Cirrus’ existing operations, where about 600 employees work.
The state funding is in a jobs bill. And if Gov. Mark Dayton signs the bill the funding could be released in July.
WDIO-TV reports Cirrus is one of the Northland’s main manufacturers. It’s waiting for the Federal Aviation Administration to certify its first personal jet, the Vision SF50.
