The Hayfield softball team came up big in the seventh inning to beat Byron (11-7 overall) 6-5 in Hayfield Monday.

The Vikings (12-4 overall) trailed 5-4 going into the bottom of the seventh when Bhrett Zahnle singled in the tying run and Kyal Heydt singled in the winning run.

Hayfield’s Alexis Dudycha made a catch on a ball to rob a three-run homer in the sixth inning.
