The Gangster Tour, St. Paul

We’ll step back in time and see St. Paul through the eyes of a 1930s gangster. A step on guide will also take us to the hangout at the Wabasha Caves.

With lunch served in the caves and a tour there will follow.

The balance of the afternoon will be spent at the New Eagan Outlet Mall.

Departure time will be 7 a.m. at the south entrance of  Walmart. The deluxe motor coach is equipped with a restroom, plus a rest stop will be made prior to arriving in St. Paul. Return time will be 6:15 p.m., depending on road construction.

June 4

Seed Savers Exchange and Vesterheim Norwegian-American Museum, Decorah, Iowa  

What a bonus to include two special visits to our neighboring Iowa. We can expect to see Preservation Gardens while wandering through historic orchards. A guide will answer questions as we tour, with time to visit their gift shop for a wide collection of heirloom seeds.

An ethnic meal will be at Ruby’s (Now doesn’t that sound interesting?). The afternoon will be spent at the Vesterheim Museum to explore American folk art. Named as one of the “Nation 10 Greatest” places to visit this collection of Norwegian Heritage.

Departure time will be 7 a.m. and return time will be about 6 p.m.

June 24

“Damn Yankees” musical at the Ordway Theater, St. Paul

The theater will be transformed to give us the flare of summer baseball as we love it. The lobby will host venders and will include stadium-style items and baseball history. We have been given a extension date of May 14 to acquire tickets. We do have a few remaining seats available.

Departure time will be 9 a.m. (always from Walmart parking lot). Coaches do arrive 15-20 minutes early for boarding.

May 15

Information for fall New England and leafing trip, 9:30 a.m. at the senior center

The Travel Office will be opened for those signed for the fall New England and Leafing trip, which will be Sept. 24 to Oct. 7. This is the deposit due date along with information on this fall trip. Currently there is a waiting list only, but do not hesitate to add your name as cancellations do happen.
