Mable Julia Kraft, 89, of Austin, Minnesota, died on June 17, 2015, at Our House Assisted Living in Austin.

Mable was born Mar. 4, 1926, in Elkton, Minnesota, to John and Florence Hagen. She attended school in Elkton and was married at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Elkton. On Aug. 22, 1948, she married Donald Ernest Kraft. Mable, an only child, who lost her father at an early age, was the proud mother of nine children. Mable worked for the Holiday Inn as a hostess. She enjoyed time at her cabin on the lake, traveling to Florida, dancing to old time music, having coffee with her girlfriends and especially loved spending time with her husband, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Mable is survived by her sons: Robert Kraft, Oronoco, Minnesota, Dr. Richard (Suzanne) Kraft, Lafayette, Colorado, Roy (Carol) Kraft, Crosslake, Minnesota, Randall Kraft, Eagan, Minnesota, Ronald Kraft, Pearce, Arizona, Russell (Marcy) Kraft, Winter Garden, Florida; daughter, Rita (Stephen) Sand, Austin; 11 grandchildren: Annie Kraft, Shanna Kraft, John (Anne) Sand, Timothy (Andrea) Kraft, Joseph (Amanda) Sand, Christina (Joshua) Kraft, Tyler Kraft, Anthony Kraft, Katelynn Kraft, Thomas Kraft, Cole Kraft; 9 great-grandchildren: Sierra, Arianna, Andrew, Laura, Owen, Evelyn, Kate, Michaela and Jacob.

She was preceded in death by her husband Donald; son Ralph; and a stillborn child Ross.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, June 20, 2015, at St. Olaf Lutheran Church with the Rev. Gerry Giese officiating. Interment will be in Oakwood Cemetery in Austin. Visitation will be at Clasen-Jordan Mortuary on Friday, June 19, from 5 to 8 p.m. The organist will be Neal Erickson with soloist Marcy Kraft. Memorials are suggested to St. Olaf Lutheran Church Building Fund or the donor’s choice. Casket Bearers will be Robert Kraft, Richard Kraft, Roy Kraft, Randall Kraft, Ronald Kraft and Russell Kraft.
