Bats go silent in 4-1 loss for Greyhounds

The Austin Greyhounds suffered a lack of offense on the road Wednesday, losing to Burnsville 4-1.
The Greyhounds managed just one run, coming in the seventh inning when Nels Nelson scored on a single by Alex Ciola to cut Burnsville’s lead to 3-1, however Burnsville padded their lead with a run in the following inning.
The inning prior the Hounds had the bases loaded with just one out when Ciola drew a walk, Nate Conner singled and John Frein was hit by a pitch, but the runners were left stranded.
Nelson took the loss for the Hounds giving up six hits and striking out four.
The Hounds get a rematch tonight when they host Burnsville at Marcusen Park at 7:30 p.m.
