The newest restaurant in Austin is set to open next Tuesday.
Austin’s Hardees will open starting at 5:30 a.m. Sept. 8 after several months of construction. The restaurant, located at 1406 Fourth St. NW, will employ an estimated 70 employees.
The Austin Hardees is owned by Northland Restaurant Group, based in Eau Claire, Wisconsin.
“We’re happy to be back and we hope to give the Austin community a great place to eat,” said Dan Cole, marketing manager for Northland.
The group operates 112 Hardees in the upper Midwest, including restaurants in Albert Lea and Fergus Falls, which opened last year.
Austin used to have two Hardeews locations owned by a different franchise group, but the locations closed in 2004 and 2008.
Northland officials said earlier this year the Hardees brand is strong right now, and Northland is looking to expand its market.
Hardees will be open from 5:30 a.m. to 11 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 5:30 a.m. to midnight on Friday and Saturday, and 6:30 a.m. to 11 p.m. on Sunday.
