The Izaak Walton League is giving area residents another chance to learn about this year’s legislative session and Gov. Mark Dayton’s buffer strip plan.
State Sen. Dan Sparks and Rep. Jeanne Poppe, both DFL-Austin, will attend an Ikes chapter meeting at 7 p.m. Monday to discuss the 2015 session, including issues like the special session, economic development funding, agriculture and environmental issues, and more. The meeting is at the Jay C. Hormel Nature Center’s Ruby Rupner Auditorium.
For the Ikes, one issue of interest has been a required perennial buffer on waterways.
The public is welcomed and encouraged to attend.
Refreshments will be served at the conclusion of the presentation.
