Wayne returns to Austin stage

Adam Wayne might be Minnesotan through-and-through — spending most of his free time hunting and fishing in our neck of the woods — but he’s no stranger to Nashville, either.
A deep familiarity with the latter — bred in his days spent working at the eminent Tootsies Orchid Lounge, where Wayne rubbed elbows with Brooks and Dunn, Alan Jackson, Kid Rock and Miranda Lambert — comes through in his melodies, while Wayne cites the north woods in which he grew up as the inspiration for his lyrics.
Much like the two towns that have influenced him, a wide range of venues have provided Wayne with a platform from which to perform. Wayne has played at outdoor festivals, dance halls, ballrooms (including four times at the legendary Surf Ballroom in Clearlake, Iowa), and your standard honkytonks. He’s also shared these stages with a number of well-known artists, including Granger Smith and Trace Adkins.
Wayne released his first nation-wide record, Down Every Road There’s a Rodeo, in 2013, and followed his debut up with Country Lullaby in 2014.
Be sure to catch these albums live in a few weeks, as Wayne returns to the Paramount Theatre on Oct. 15.
Tickets for the concert, which starts at 6:15 p.m., are $10 in advance and $15 at the door. Seniors, AACA members, veterans, and active military receive discounts, and students are $5.
