Child finds home broken into after school Thursday

A minor came home from school Thursday to find his or her home had been broken into.
Austin police responded to a report of a possible burglary in progress around 3:25 p.m. after the child returned home from school to find the front door of the home on the 400 block of Fourth Street Northeast had been kicked in. The minor call his or her parents, who called the police.
The police did not find anyone in the home and have no suspects at this time.
A Tupperware container full of coins, a small amount of cash, jewelry and a laptop computer were reported missing.
The incident is believed to have taken place between 1 and 3:17 p.m.
