Fight suspect arrested for drugs

One of three adults charged for a large fight at Austin High School is back in jail and is now facing drug charges.

Willie J.M. Brunt, 27, of Austin posted bond Thursday after being charged earlier in the day for felony second-degree rioting with a dangerous weapon and misdemeanor assault with a dangerous weapon for his role in a Sept. 28 fight at Austin High School; however, he was arrested again Friday and could also face fifth-degree drug charges, Austin Police Chief Brian Krueger confirmed. Official charges are pending with the Mower County Attorney’s Office.

Along with Brunt, Angel Alicia McCullough, 30, of Austin was also charged Thursday with felony second-degree rioting with a dangerous weapon and misdemeanor assault with a dangerous weapon. Odell Dorrea McCullough, 27, pleaded not guilty Thursday to second-degree assault with a dangerous weapon and second-degree rioting with a dangerous weapon — both felonies.
