The coldest temperatures of fall are likely heading our way.
With The National Weather Service calling for temperatures to dip to at least the mid-20s overnight, Mower and several other area counties are under a freeze warning from 10 p.m. Friday to 9 a.m. Saturday.
Austin’s expected overnight low is 26 degrees, though some areas may bottom out in the teens.
The widespread frost is expected to kill sensitive vegetation.
“If gardens are still producing, harvest today or lose what is left to the freezing conditions,” the weather service freeze warning read.
