One of the Austin Police Department vehicles is out of commission currently after a crash early Saturday morning.

An officer went into the ditch early Saturday morning at a sharp corner near Mandolin Apartments, according to Police Chief Brian Krueger.

The officer was uninjured, but the vehicle sustained damage. Krueger did not know the extent of the damage as of Tuesday, nor why the officer went into the ditch. The vehicle is currently not drivable.
