ST. PAUL — A man who’s been named a person of interest in the 1989 abduction of an 11-year-old Minnesota boy is scheduled to appear in federal court on child pornography charges.
Fifty-two-year-old Daniel James Heinrich was charged last week with four counts of possessing child pornography and one count of receiving it. He was charged after authorities searched his Annandale home in July as they sought evidence into the disappearance of Jacob Wetterling.
Authorities have declined to call Heinrich a suspect in Jacob’s abduction.
