Firefighters and paramedics help a patient Monday morning on Third Avenue Northeast.  Fire chief Jim McCoy later confirmed a driver had a medical emergency and hit a parked vehicle. A large cloud of smoke was briefly seen, which McCoy said was from tire burnup after the driver’s foot remained on the gas after the car came to a stop.
