Officers are following leads on a burglary that happened last Thursday morning at Ankeny’s Mini Mart No. 4, but have not charged anyone as of Monday morning, according to Austin Police Lt. Dave McKichan.
A man got away with an undisclosed amount of cash after he robbed the store with a black hunting knife around 8:45 a.m. Thursday.
The employee at the store said a male wearing a white and black camouflage hooded sweatshirt and a red ski mask covering his nose and mouth demanded cash while wielding the knife.
The employee saw he was white after seeing around his eyes through the mask.
The man left with the cash, heading westbound on foot. Nobody was injured.
The investigation is ongoing and anyone with information can contact law enforcement through the online Tip411 site or by calling 437-9400.
