Runnings’ Ladies Night fundraiser raised $10,000 to help in the fight against breast cancer.
The annual event, which was held on Oct. 21 at 28 Runnings’ stores, hosted thousands of customers for an evening of giveaways, product demonstrations and free samples. Customers purchased a designer tote and received a discount on whatever items fit inside. Runnings donated $1 from the sale of each bag to breast cancer affiliated organizations within each hosting store’s local area. Since it first started in 2010, Ladies Night has raised more than $40,000.
Stores involved in Ladies Night included: Austin, Marshall, Redwood Falls, Monticello, Hutchinson, New Ulm, Red Wing, Willmar, Montevideo, Benson, Worthington and Litchfield in Minnesota; Milbank, Mobridge, Watertown, Aberdeen, Huron, Pierre, Brookings and Rapid City in South Dakota; Bismarck and Carrington in North Dakota; Glendive, Montana; Clay, Canandaigua, Rome, Gloversville in New York; and Claremont New Hampshire.
Sponsoring this year’s event was Travel Leaders of Apple Valley, Nutrena, Montana Silver and WonderWink Scrubs.
