Girls basketball: Lyle-Pacelli grabs 50th straight conference win

The No. 3 Lyle-Pacelli girls basketball team beat Houston (2-7 overall, 2-4 SEC) 65-22 on the road Friday.

Sarah Holtz had 20 points, 11 rebounds and eight steals for LP (5-0 overall, 5-0 SEC), which now has 50 straight Southeast Conference wins. Courtney Walter had five points and eight assists for LP and Kristi Fett had 15 points and eight rebounds.

LP will host No. 6 ranked Maranatha Academy 6 p.m. Saturday.

“It’s probably the biggest game we’ve hosted, maybe in the history of our program,” LP head coach Justin Morris said.
