A cell phone and cash are missing after a theft from a vehicle parked in a church parking lot.

Officers took a report of a theft from a vehicle on the south side of Queen of Angels Catholic Church Sunday, according to Police Chief Brian Krueger. The theft happened between 8:45 and 10 a.m., possibly during a church service. The victim reported she thought she had locked her vehicle, but when she returned to her car realized it was unlocked, and her purse, wallet and Samsung Galaxy S4, white cell phone with a cracked screen and blue rubber case were missing.

Later, the victim called to let officers know she found her purse and wallet along the east fence of Queen of Angels, and $30 in cash was missing, but her driver’s license and credit cards were still there.
