The Lyle-Pacelli boys basketball team came back to pick up a big win over Randolph (11-8 overall, 9-6 SEC) by a score of 68-57 in Lyle Thursday.
The Athletics (12-9 overall, 10-5 SEC) moved into second place in the SEC West with the win. Lee Bauer had 14 points and nine rebounds and Jordan Cotter had 17 points.
“We played one of our better games that we’ve played all year,” LP head coach Scott Koenigs said. “We played great defense in the second half and we kept our composure.”
LP trailed 38-30 after Randolph closed the first half on a 7-0 run, but the Athletics showed balance in the second half.
“They played a box and one on Noah and we need other guys to step up and they were able to do that,” Koenigs said.
