Time share up for auction at Lyle Cancer Auction

Lyle Area Cancer organizers are looking to give potential bidders a chance to study up on an item before they bid on it at this weekend’s annual auction.
For the second year in a row, a timeshare will be up for bid during the auction.
A resident donated a timeshare through Bluegreen Vacations, which will be up for auction on Saturday night during the auction, which takes place starting at 6 p.m. tonight and 11 a.m. tomorrow at the Lyle Legion and adjoining city of Lyle maintenance building.
Larry Ricke, LAC co-chairman, said people should read up on the timeshare, which can be used by a family for stays at locations around the world operated by Bluegreen.
Ownership of the timeshare also includes an annual $600 maintenance fee.
The family who donated the timeshare bought it for $15,000 15 years ago, but decided to donate it to LAC because they can’t travel as often at their age, according to Ricke.
