Austin girls basketball team starts slow in loss at Century

The Austin girls basketball team struggled out of the gates as it lost 77-74 at Rochester Century Tuesday.
The Panthers (10-8 overall, 10-7 Big Nine) jumped out to a 25-4 lead in the first eight minutes of the game. Austin (9-8 overall, 9-9 Big Nine) was able to get tie the game a couple of times in the second half, but it was never able to take the lead.
“We came out were very flat,” Austin head coach Todd Johnson said. “We didn’t work hard enough and they kind of blitzkrieged us. We really lost it in the first half.”
