The Southland boys basketball team had to play without one of its starters as it lost 51-48 to Dover-Eyota 51-48 on the road Monday.
DE (7-16 overall, 5-10 Three Rivers) trailed much of the night, but it took the lead with three minutes left in the contest as the Rebels (9-11 overall, 6-10 Three Rivers) went cold down the stretch.

“We played hard, but we couldn’t finish,” Southland head coach Matt Webber said. “I was really proud with how we played without Jared. He’s a big part of our team.”
