The Blooming Prairie girls basketball team beat Maple River (3-16 overall, 0-9 Gopher) 59-40 on the road Friday.

Kylie Forystek had 12 points, four rebounds and three steals for BP (14-6 overall, 7-4 Gopher). Seven players scored five points or more for the Awesome Blossoms.

“We again had a blanched scoring attack,” BP head coach John Bruns said. “Defensively we did a good job making Maple River work hard for their shots.”
