The Hayfield girls basketball team used a strong first half to beat Cannon Falls (5-16 overall, 1-14 HVL) 57-28 on the road Tuesday.

The Vikings (17-7 overall, 10-4 HVL), who have now won seven straight games, led 29-6 at halftime.

“We used our half court trap to really upset their offensive tempo,” Hayfield head coach Fred Kindschy said.
