High-speed chase leads to 7 years probation

A St. Ansgar, Iowa, man who was arrested south of Austin in July 2015 after leading Iowa law enforcement on a high-speed chase, was sentenced Thursday.
Brandon Anderson, 24, was sentenced to seven years of supervised probation with 60 days of electronic alcohol monitoring, along with three years in prison if he fails to follow the probation conditions set by the court. He received 148 days in Mower County Jail as a condition of probation.
Anderson came into Mower County from Iowa on Highway 218 before he was stopped by Mower County spike strips near County Road 28. The police report said the chase reached 120 mph.
Anderson was arrested without incident and transported to the Mower County jail. He also faced charges in Mitchell County, Iowa, on several driving-related incidents.
