Nancy Ann Moucha, 75, of Austin, Minnesota, died Friday, Feb. 12, 2016, at Golden Living Center East in Rochester, Minnesota.

She was born Jan. 31, 1941, in Austin to Arthur and Goldie Lien. Darrell and Lavilda Ashton of Austin adopted Nancy when she was 6 months old. She grew up in Austin, where she graduated from high school and attended college.

On Nov. 23, 1957, Nancy married Robert Nordstrom of Austin, Minnesota. They lived in Austin where Nancy took care of her three daughters and worked as a graphic artist, cake decorator and mental health worker.

On Sept. 7, 1991, Nancy married Larry Moucha of Austin, Minnesota. They lived in Austin and enjoyed many fine retirement years together.

Nancy was a member of St. Michael’s Lutheran Church in Waltham, Minnesota, where she participated in the church choir for many years. She also bred Saint Bernard dogs and was an animal lover. Her hobbies included cooking, baking, gardening, crafting, traveling and singing.

Surviving daughters include: Julie Brown of Apache Junction, Arizona, Shelly (Mike) Frederickson of Excelsior, Minnesota, Regina (Mike) Mroz of Beach Park, Illinois, and Cindy (Tom) Mathison of Racine, Minnesota. Surviving sons include: Jeff Moucha of Austin, Minnesota, Steve (Donna) Moucha of Albert Lea, Minnesota, and Todd (Esther) Moucha of Shakopee, Minnesota.

She is survived by 6 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Surviving siblings are: Bob Lien of Benson, Texas, and Joyce Petty of St. Joseph, Missouri.

She is preceded in death by her parents; daughter Tammy Piveral; and four sisters.

Visitation will take place from 5 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday at Mayer Funeral Home and also one hour before the service at the church on Thursday. Service will be at 1 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 18, 2016, at St. Michael’s Lutheran Church in Waltham, Minnesota, with pastor Dwight DoBell officiating. Casket bearers will be Michael Frederickson, Mike Mroz, Jeff Moucha, Steve Moucha, Todd Moucha and Tom Mathison. Interment will be at Bohemian Cemetery, Myrtle, Minnesota, in the spring.
