An Austin High School graduate is starting a summer business as part of an internship program.

Kole Igou will manage an exterior painting business over the summer through an internship called College Works Painting, which helps college students learn skills to run a business as well as the many things that come with it.

He’ll be available to paint and stain houses, decks, fences, garages, trim, doors and more. He’ll also hire crew for the summer work.

Igou attends Minnesota State, Mankato and is majoring in marketing.

He plans to start with a crew of four but could hire more people later if needed.

While the work will start in May, Igou is already getting leads for people who want free estimates on anything that is exterior on a house.
