The Austin Bruins officially announced the launch of the “Austin Bruins Foundation” Wednesday.
Through the continued support by the Austin community around various charitable events held at Bruins games, the Austin Bruins Foundation will serve as a non-profit entity with the following mission statement: The Austin Bruins Foundation invests in the future of our community by raising funds and awareness for the benefit of local and national worthy causes that contribute to the overall enhancement of society and advancement of the sport of hockey.
“This is a really great thing in our continued effort to give back to the community that supports us so greatly,” said Bruins owner Mike Cooper.
This year alone, the Bruins have raised a total of over $75,000 for organizations such as Defending the Blue Line, the Hormel Institute, and Pacelli Catholic Schools.
