Skills and Drills dropping the puck Monday

Skills and Drills will start on Monday.
It will run Mondays and Saturdays and will be 3-on-3 for mites, squirts, girls 10U, 12U, 14U, peewee and bantams.
The cost is $45 for the eight times — four Mondays and four Saturdays.Pre-register at the Park and Recreation office. The flyer is available on Facebook and the Austin Youth Hockey website.
Public skate
Public skate has moved to Riverside Arena for 4:30 to 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday, 12:45 to 2 p.m. March 12, 2:15 to 3:15 p.m. March 13, and 6:45 to 8 p.m. March 17. The cost is $4 to skate and $1 to rent skates if you should need them. The arenas are also available to rent for private parties at $130 per hour. Call our office for availability.
If you missed the Riverside Figure Skating Club’s show Saturday then you can still see it at 2 p.m. today, March 6 in Riverside Arena!
Youth wrestling
The Shamrock Open youth NYWA District Qualifier will be on March 11 at Austin High School. This event is hosted by our Austin Youth Wrestling Association and will accept walk-in registrations until 5:30 p.m. Wrestling will begin at about 6 p.m. for those wrestlers in kindergarten through eighth grade. Weigh-in starts at 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. We have registration forms in our office and we also posted this on Facebook.
Stick Time
Something new: Stick Time will start March 15 at Riverside Arena for youth and adults that want to work on some skills. Rules: Players under age 18 must were full gear, those over 18 must wear a helmet, gloves and skates! There will not be any scrimmaging, slap shots and/or horseplay when on the ice. Stick Time is designed to work on skills and have fun with friends, family members or coaches. Stick Time will be 5:15-6:15 p.m. on Tuesdays and 5:30-6:30 p.m. on Wednesdays and Thursdays. Cost is $6 per time; pay at the arena.
Adult hockey
Adult open hockey will return to Riverside Arena starting March 16 on Wednesdays from 6:45 to 8 p.m. The cost is $6 per person. You must be at least in High School, no checking. Alcohol is not allowed, and a helmet is required. Goalies are free and must have full gear.
Dome times
Austin Public School with offer open dome times on the following dates and times: 1 to 3 p.m. on Wednesday, 9 to 11 a.m. on March 17, and 1 to 3 p.m. on March 29.
Baseball in the dome
Mark your calendar for the Austin High School baseball and Austin All Stars youth baseball’s fourth annual Austin area free baseball clinic on March 19 and 20 in the Austin dome. The clinic is for area boys and girls ages 8 to 12. Registration will be that Saturday at 9:30 a.m., and the clinic is 10 a.m. to noon Saturday. Sunday registration is 11:30 a.m., and the clinic is noon to 2 p.m. Participants will need to bring their baseball gloves, tennis shoes or turf shoes only. Adult softball
Adult softball registration is now open. Deadline to turn in your team entry fee and rosters is April 18. Watch for information regarding adult kickball and sand volleyball to come out soon. If you would like to receive information please let us know.
