7th grader pitches shutout for Lyle-Pacelli baseball team

Lyle-Pacelli seventh grader Zach Bollingberg made his first varsity mound start count as he pitched the Athletics to a 12-0 win in five innings over Mabel-Canton (2-3 overall, 1-2 SEC) on the road Tuesday.

Bollingberg allowed just four hits in the win.

“He threw strikes and we fielded it. It can be such a simple games sometimes,” LP head coach Brock Meyer said. “We ran the bases well and put we pressure on their defense.”

JordanCotter was three-for-four with a double and two RBIs for LP (7-1 overall, 4-1 SEC).
